You don’t have to wear a badge to be in this position, just be the person who has the Safty of every life involved in your hands. When you have to tell the cop get out of the way you’re going to get killed or you have to get the firemen out of the way so you can Bulldoze a fire line while volunteering your time and equipment.
Sometimes it’s just being the man in charge of everything going on and you have to carry that within your own heart.

I had just taken a shower and was having a cup of tea (I quit drinking alcohol four years ago next month). Dinner was ready. If my lovely wife had asked about my red eyes I would have said, "you know how the chlorine in this towns water Irritates my eyes".
